Principle Dentist

Dr Andrew Rowley BDS

BDS (Bristol) 2014, BSc Anatomical sciences (Bristol)2009, ILM Leadership and Management
GDC Reg  251481

Methodical, detail oriented, and focused on achieving the best outcome, Dr Rowley likes to explain the details to his patients as he goes, so they feel fully involved in their treatment and are totally comfortable with every decision. Dr Rowley loves the technical challenge of dentistry; finding solutions to patients wants and needs and wants to create a smile that will help to change their lives.

Outside of the practice, you’ll find Dr Rowley kickboxing and taking long walks around Cornwall, socialising with friends, cooking and baking (and eating the results), and learning new skills. Even though he can’t swim, Dr Rowley loves the coast (just not going into the water) and he bought a wetsuit just so people would stop asking him why he lives in Cornwall and doesn’t own one!
Dr Rowley specialises in:

  • Enlighten and Pola Teeth Whitening
  • SmileTru and Reveal clear aligners
  • CFast cosmetic teeth straightening
  • Injectable treatments for migraines and facial aesthetics
  • General dentistry with a focus on complex restorative crown and bridge work

Dr Rikesh Chandarana

GDC Reg 277463

Dentist

A trustable figure during the patient journey, Dr Chandarana takes great pride in providing dental treatment with a personal touch while maintaining a professional approach. Always taking the time to listen to a patient’s concerns and explaining the available options before supporting them through the treatment, Dr Chandarana loves getting to know his patients. A self-confessed extrovert, Dr Chandarana’s friendly demeanour helps create a relaxed and welcoming environment in Practice.

Dr Chandarana has found it impossible to leave Cornwall since he graduated from Peninsula Dental School in Plymouth. He (and his cat Morris) are quite at home here, although he does dream of one day travelling the world (so long as he can scuba dive!). Outside of work, Dr Chandarana can generally be found underwater in his diving gear or in the pub supporting Chelsea (other football supporters are also welcome at Kimberley Park!)

Dr Chandarana specialises in general dentistry with a focus on oral surgery.

Dr Simon Michaels

GDC Reg 66369

Dr Michaels is a firm believer in prevention being better than a cure when it comes to looking after your dental health. Always here to advise patients on preventative measures to help avoid gum disease and maintain a healthy smile, when patients do require treatment Dr Michaels has a particular interest in minimal intervention dentistry. Focusing on the aesthetic benefits of using the latest composite white filling techniques, both in the back and front of mouth, he enjoys restoring patients’ beautiful smiles.

When he’s not at Kimberley Park Dental Practice Dr Michaels can most often be found gardening. A volunteer gardener at Falmouth’s Glendurgan National Trust, he is also chief plant-watcher at home, while his wife bakes. (Her culinary efforts are just one of the reasons for Dr Michael’s popularity among the practice team!)

Support team

Operations coordinator

Michelle Collings

Michelle’s job is to assist patients throughout their journey with Kimberley Park Dental; greeting patients, answering calls and emails, liaising and organising treatments, and working closely with our clinicians to ensure an effective treatment and the best possible experience. Michelle loves getting to know our patients and their families, helping them find solutions to their problems, and providing them with personalised support to ensure their visit is as comfortable as possible.

Outside of the practice, Michelle is a proud mum to a lovely daughter who recently started college, and she loves to get out and about and walk her newly adopted Puppy!

Dental nurse

Beth Jones

GDC No. 283840

Beth splits her time between working as a dental nurse and supporting Michelle with front of house duties; supporting and looking after patients throughout their journey, problem solving, and coordinating patient treatments. Beth loves the social aspect of working with patients and her fellow staff, helping patients with their needs in surgery and on the front desk, and watching the dentists work their magic!

Outside of the practice, you’ll find Beth at the gym, reading, taking walks around Cornwall, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends. Don’t tell the dentists, but Beth’s guilty pleasure is Sour Skittles, and she likes to treat herself to avocado on toast with baked beans and ketchup. If you see Beth at the practice, ask her about her pink electric guitar – she might play some air tunes for you.

Clinical manager

Her calm and friendly nature helps to put our patients at ease, and she loves the patient contact and working with her team to help people achieve great results. Nicola also makes sure every patient has a safe experience; keeping the surgery fully stocked, liaising with suppliers, and managing contracts, health and safety, decontamination, and infection control.

Outside of the practice, you’ll find Nicola quad biking, kayaking, and walking, and she was once part of a 2-man powerboat team in the Guernsey Powerboat Association 1995 season, racing in a catamaran called ‘Lubbly Jubbly Bubbly’!

Dental nurses

Dental nurse

Jane Laity

Level 3 in dental nursing
GDC No.  283588

Jane likes nothing more than helping to make patients feel welcome and relaxed when they come for a check-up or treatment at Kimberley Park. Intent on changing their perception about visiting the dentist, Jane is a friendly face on the dental team, helping to make the practice a calm environment where everyone is happy.

When not at work, Jane’s happy place is the beach. A sun worshipper, she makes sure she gets a healthy dose of vitamin sea whenever she can, whether it’s walking the dog, spending time with her husband or braving the elements for a spot of sea swimming.

If she weren’t a dental nurse, Jane could quite possibly pass for a barber - although having used dog clippers rather than scissors on her family’s hair during lockdown, perhaps pet grooming would be more her forte!

Dental nurse

Jan Merrifield

NEBDN
GDC No. 116226

Jan has been a registered dental nurse for 34 years, so she truly has seen it all! Jan enjoys being the friendly face who collects patients from the waiting room and having a quick chat before treatment starts to put patients at ease, and assists with dental treatments at Kimberley Park Dental.

Outside of the practice, you’ll find Jan walking in beautiful Cornwall with her husband and two daughters. Jan loves the smell of Easter egg chocolate (who doesn’t?), watching “A Place in the Sun”, and eating peanut butter and banana sandwiches – a combo that everyone should try!
